I was a bit suprised to see the Chinese have more faith in the markets, but I'm encouraged by this as these feelings among the populace will lead to the collapse of the last major Communist power.
France's attitude, unfortunately, does not suprise we at all. The French have always been attracted to any political movement other than democracy. They became ardent Facists in the 1940's and quickly embraced Socialism whan Facism was defeated.
In gereral, the French lack self-respect (probably from losing every war) and individualism has no place in the French Fifth Column... I mean, Republic.
Nothing suprising here. Save the figure, and after 10 years, calculate the relative change in prosperity, I bet they'll correlate nicely!
If I should guess based on my experiences in different countries, I would place Sweden between Russia and Germany, and Finland between Germany and Britain.
