Israel Keeps Taking Hits

France 2, a public TV network in France, has sent a clear message to its critics - Don't fuck with us. France 2 is the channel responsible for bringing the case of Mohammed al-Dura to world's attention some years ago. After the initial reaction it was revealed that there never was any evidence that al-Dura and his father were shot by Israeli troops, that the shots were more likely fired by Palestinian terrorists and that France 2 might even have staged the whole scene.

"It is a very somber day for France. The French justice system has validated a false report"

And now we have the French threatening Israel:

"Commanders of the French contingent of the United Nations force in Lebanon have warned that they might have to open fire if Israel Air Force warplanes continue their overflights in Lebanon, Defense Minister Amir Peretz told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday."

Israel has every right to secure its borders by patrolling the skies of Lebanon for as long as the Lebanese government is not doing that. The UN is certainly not doing anything to control the flow of arms to Hezbollah. Day by day the UN troops in Lebanon seem more like human shields - just wait until the next conflict erupts and a UN troop gets hurt. As I have said before, all casualties benefit Israel's enemies.

And this is simply preposterous:
"Contrary to Israeli hopes that the new multinational force in Lebanon will engage and disarm Hizbullah, the beefed up UNIFIL will not immediately open fire on Hizbullah guerrillas if they are on their way to an attack or even in the midst of an attack on Israel, the commander of the UN peacekeeping force, Maj.-Gen. Alain Pellegrini, told The Jerusalem Post Thursday in an exclusive interview."

Remember the UN Security Council Resolution 1701 that was made to end this conflict? The UN resolution is a joke - as is the UN itself:
"Shortly after the resolution was adopted Hezbollah said that it was not in favor of being disarmed, Lebanon said that it would not disarm Hezbollah, and the UN indicated it also would not disarm Hezbollah."

So what the world wanted was to stop Israel from disarming Hezbollah. Once Israel was out the world was happy and everything returned back to way it was.

Meanwhile, Hamas has made it absolutely clear that they don't have to and are not going to recognize Israel. This was clear from the beginning but that didn't stop our news channels from reporting the truth as they saw it - that Hamas was willing to recognize Israel although the original proposal, the so called Prisoners' Document, never mentioned the recognition of Israel.
Ismail Haniyeh, Palestinian prime minister, had this to say about a month ago:
"They demand we condemn the resistance and recognize the legitimacy of the occupation. We are duty-bound to the Prisoners’ Document, which doesn’t recognize the legitimacy of the occupation." (and "occupation" means the state of Israel - not Gaza and the West Bank)

And don't forget Iran, a country run by a bunch of religious fanatics and a madman as the president:
"...The enemies are completely paralyzed, and cannot in any way confront the Iranian people. If our people maintain unity and solidarity, they [i.e. the enemies] must expect a great [Iranian] victory, because we have [only] one step remaining before we attain the summit of nuclear technology."

Hong Kong - Don't Mend What Ain't Broken

Concerning news from the world's most Capitalist city:

Newsweek:
Yet by the numbers, government in Hong Kong isn't small anymore. Public spending now accounts for roughly 23 percent of gross domestic product, up from 14 percent in the late 1980s. Tsang has even proposed a new goods-and-services tax to broaden the government's revenue base.

It seems to be getting worse day by day

"Radical Muslims in France’s housing estates are waging an undeclared “intifada” against the police, with violent clashes injuring an average of 14 officers each day.

As the interior ministry said that nearly 2,500 officers had been wounded this year, a police union declared that its members were “in a state of civil war” with Muslims in the most depressed “banlieue” estates which are heavily populated by unemployed youths of north African origin."
-lgf

"Extra police are being drafted into the Windsor area today after three nights of violent clashes between white and Asian youths.

Gangs have fought battles in the streets using baseball bats and pitchforks. A Muslim-run dairy which wants to build a mosque was petrol bombed."
-thisislondon.co.uk

"JACK Straw, the former foreign secretary, waded into a race and sexism row last night after admitting he asks female Muslim constituents who visit him to remove their veils." -Scotsman

Selective discrimination or not, the practice to wear a veil should not be encouraged since wearing one is ultimately all about subjugation.

Kiina ja Smash ASEM

"Solidarity with Asian peoples against CORPORATE greed and destruction".

"Tiedostavien" nuorten tulisi käyttää energiansa kapitalismin saamiseksi Kiinan maaseudulle. Vapaa markkinatalous on nostanut satoja miljoonia kiinalaisia köyhyysrajan yläpuolelle alle 20 vuodessa.
